Recent figures released by the Royal College of Nursing have estimated 13,000 nursing jobs could be lost as Primary Care Trusts and hospital executives seek to reduce the deficits. We say you cannot balance the books by risking patient’s lives!

DEMONSTRATION: MARCH AGAINST THE NHS JOB CUTS!

North Staffs NHS-SOS have organised a march for Saturday April 29th from Central Outpatients on Thornburrow Drive, Hartshill, Stoke-on-Trent at 11am to Hanley (route available on www.nhssos.org.uk). The march will climax in a rally outside Hanley Town Hall with campaign and guest speakers. Billed by Central News as a national demonstration, North Staffs NHS-SOS are campaigning to get as big a local, regional and national turn out as possible! Every pair of feet is one more voice raised against the cuts. Bring your friends! Placards and banners welcome!


NHS SOS WEBSITE LAUNCHED!
The North Staffs NHS SOS website has been launched. Visitors can find downloadable campaigning materials, sign the petition, leave comments, find demo route details, and catch up with what the campaign has been doing. Please visit www.nhssos.org.uk


NHS-SOS MEETING
The campaign group next meets at 7pm on Tuesday 25th April in the Coachmakers Arms, Hanley. All welcome.
