There will be cookery demonstrations at various intervals, to guide you through preparing a range of veggie/vegan festive meals(see times and details below). You`ll see just how easy it is to cook mouthwatering meals, without unhealthy meat and animal ingredients.
A creche will operate in a seperate room throughout the day, so please bring the kids! There will be a range of activities to keep them busy including facepainting, a Fruity Faces Food Workshop and a Popcorn Making workshop(see times below). Santa will also be putting in an appearance!
There will also be various stalls selling a wide variety of cruelty-free goodies including badges, stationery, cards, vegan cosmetics/toiletries, chocolate, books, clothing and lots more. Stalls include Realfood, Viva!, Dr Hadwen Trust for Humane Research and The Vegan Society. Leamington`s very own Gaia Wholefood Shop will have a stall selling a range of their products.
There will be a table with lots of literature you can take away, including recipe booklets, magazines, nutritional info, and loads of factsheets/leaflets detailing the many benefits of the veggie/vegan diets - ie healthier, helps stop environmental destruction, saves animals, prevents world hunger etc. Read more about the many benefits of the veggie/vegan diets here http://www.viva.org.uk/goingveggie/index.html

HELPERS/VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Leamington Veggies is only a small group, we can`t run this event on our own!! Many people from across the Midlands have already offered to help on the day, but we need more to make sure the event is a total success. People will be needed to hand out flyers/food outside the venue, help run stalls, serve food, wash up and lots more! Why not come along to enjoy the event and offer to help for a while - Even half an hour of your time on the day, will provide others with a well earned break! Please contact us on leamingtonveggies@yahoo.co.uk or 07913 135480.
