The recent bombings in Bali have once again highlighted the inappropriate (disastrous) approach of the ‘us and them’ mentality. There is ‘no love lost’ in divisionism. The Australian Senate, take note! Western analysts fail to understand that Muslims take personally another Muslim’s plight. Race or nationality has little relevance in the context of the unifying familial aspects of Islam. Kill a Palestinian and Muslims in Indonesia, Sudan (everywhere) will feel the loss. Furthermore, many would feel obliged to take positive action to prevent the further loss of Muslim life. However, Muslim fanatics fail to understand a principal tenet of Islam, the brotherhood of all humanity; taking innocent life is strictly forbidden. But we take the simplistic view of the fanatics and Western politicians, the question should be, who benefits from these bombings?

Muslims take note NOT of the death of a fellow muslim, but the lack of justice over the death. In other words, when muslims can be slaughtered like animals, just because they are muslims, all muslims become concerned!!! The authors attempt to 'sell' muslims as a dangerous 'tribe' that, by implication, threatens the rest of us, is pathetic.

Slimey words! Many muslims will see the need to act on the side of restoring justice, so that muslim life and liberty counts the same as anyone else.
Of course, the author can't resist the word 'fanatic'. Bet he never called the ex-public-schoolboys of the RAF who bombed thousands to their death in Iraq 'fanatics'. And, given that the terrorist scum in Iraq are mostly British and US christians, what happened to THEIR 'thou shalt not murder'???
However, the main point of his post was to lock in the idea that muslims were, in general, responsible for the bombs in Bali, rather than forces seeking to garner support for John Howard's draconian new laws in Australia. He who benefits is almost always responsible. To the politicians of Blair's West, another false-flag, like the one that was foiled in Basra, is cheap and effective.
