An action took place in Birmingham City Centre to draw attention to the issues of consumerism. The action coincided with the CIRCA workshops that took place over the same weekend.
Shopping is the new religion, praying to products is the next logical step.

Last Sunday (5th June) at 3pm, 19 people congregated at Birmingham's Corporation Street and in Selfridges to make a Prayer to Products, an action to highlight the absurdity of consumerism. The chosen shrine on Corporation Street was a billboard which read "Love Shopping - Love Corporation Street". The congregation reconvened in the Selfridge's Food Court - and once moved on by security - continued their worship inside the Bullring.
