Another Liverpool council estate is privatised!

Another Liverpool Council Estate is about to slip quietly and without defiance into the private sector. H O U S I N G - is still - T H E B I G I S S U E !

On Saturday 5th of March I found the following news item on TELETEXT ITV in the North West and it’s reproduced as I type copied it. I didn’t read about it in the local right wing rag the Liverpool Echo. (Liberal-Democrat controlled) Liverpool City Council is to spend £7,200,000 on private housing, £6000 on each, according to this news report, while it's own rent paying council tenants go without any improvements and backlog of repairs going back for years.

The Man Made Plagues

In 1992 I walked into the University of North Dakota Library to do some research of Congressional documents. I remember quite well the bitter cold of -40 below 0 and wind chills that would freeze you to the bone with some speed. However this cold is a warm summer day at the beach, in comparison to the documents I found. Read more >>

BENEFIT CLAIMANTS ARE FACING MORE INTIMIDATION!

Note the following article on Sheffield Indymedia:

 http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/regions/sheffield/2005/02/304633.html

The above article was the first time I've seen anything at all on this issue, there are many people here in Liverpool and elsewhere on social security benefits both in work and out of work, disabled, sick or retired. Many claimants have had the pressures put upon them, I for one have been getting letters pressuring me for months and months into accepting payment firstly into a Post Office (P.O.) card account. Shed No Tears For Blunkett 1

In the wake of Blunkett’s overdue resignation a picture is being painted, with himself as the primary artist, of ‘an honourable man brought low by love’. The career of this vain, arrogant, conceited individual was not brought to an end because of Blunkett’s private life, something he has done his utmost to deny the rest of us, but because he is a liar and corrupt, neither of which are new.

POSSESSION? OR INVASION?
