everyday, or at least every other day, i think about the ravaging and killing and suffering in palestine at the hands of the imperialist pleasers and oil baron protectors - israel - and then i see smash edo and i feel so proud of my brothers and sisters who fight against edo/itt and the pigs, who protect them, and barclays, and macmurders, and i just hope, i really hope, that 2010 brings more people to the struggle.
thanks to all who got involved, and solidarity to the palestinians who, regardless of why they are imprisoned, and irrespective of the 'faction' that controls their area, still remain the single biggest example of ethnic control on the face of the planet, except, possibly, papua new guinea's repression of bougainvillians, POSSIBLY.
persist to resist.
smash edo.

nevertheless our darts of insurrection flow along unexpected lines of deterritorialized humour-

.. that, my friend, is the dart that took out of action the local rag's photographer

i hope not. you seem to be one of those indymedia stirrers.
looking at the images of the argus photographers- they are a great document of the protest... well worth looking at for someone like me who couldnt get down to brighton for the day.
lets build our own media, reclaim the corporate media... but suggestions of dart throwing at local news photographers who have taken a neutral document of a protest doesnt seem to make any steps towards revolutionary social change.
at the end of the day the photographer is a worker, who is paid by a corporation, just like those that i'm sure many would go and take action in solidarity with.
such black and white politics only help to make your resistance polemic and ghettoize any real action you take for the world you want to see.

we take the demo rough with the demo smooth, if i complained every time a copper whacked me or shoved me or pushed me or punched me, id be a whiney one wouldn't i?
i wish id have lobbed the fucking dart, id have flung a few at the pigs too, for good measure. its ok for them to murder ian tomlinson but we cant fight back, even when the fight is for freedom and to prevent loss of life? come on, who's trolling this anti-smash edo shit...pigs? EDO employees? argus arse lickers?
its a fucking war, a social struggle, for liberty and freedom, for all....its not a fucking picnic, especially when people, ie. E smith, are on remand for using their bodies to try and shut that place down. this isn't climate camp (which is good at what it does, nonetheless), this is SMASH EDO,,,,,,the clues in the name....
GET A FUCKING GRIP, we will smash edo eventually, we will. all those that love edo or who hate those that oppose them, you have failed to convince anybody that smash edo is wrong, so why not just piss off.
WE WILL NOT SURRENDER! SMASH EDO! SMASH THE ARMS TRADERS AND THEIR CAPITAL INVESTORS! SMASH IT ALL!

I am an anarchist, I was at the Smash EDO Demo, and yeah, fine, if cops get in the way when we're trying to get at a legitimate target (EDO) then if they get hurt then that's just how it is. But how the hell does throwing a dart at a photographer help? At all? I was masked up[, as were most people, so I don't nimd having my photo taken personally. I did object to the photographers being there, but ask them to stop, and explain why. Having been at the demo, I am close to 100% sure that did not happen. I support miliancy, but not just for kicks, and it should not be the first tactic we resort to.
As you rightly say, it isn't a picnic, it isn't a game, we're doing this for real. So we should not get do turned on by 'riot porn', and instead treat everything on its own merits. Violence is never a good thing. Cops are people too. That doesn't mean we should be law-abiding pacifisits, far from it. But we should use violence and militancy as a tactic if and only if it will yield results.

but im starting to get really fucked off with all these people waving cameras around at demo's when seroious work is trying to be done. there must have been two thousand people in copenhagen, for example, taking photos of a thousand demo'ers. where is the use in every fucker taking photos, particularly if we're all masked up anyway? what is there to see? the police abusing us again? leave the cameras at home, or face the consequences, its simple journo 'rules' all journos know they run the risk thats why the more knowledgable ones wear helmets and protection.
its not for you to dictate what violence is acceptable and what violence is not!!!
if you admit it is a struggle, and you admit violence is part of it, what the fuck are you actually on about?
im allowed my opinion friend..............my OPINION.
