In fact the whole of shropshire is, according to powys councillors for sale...at least planning permission is.
Freemasonry has become something different from its initial self,it has become a haven for self interest, with just one look at a chisel, square and plumb a mason does not make.

Speak out against the Freemasons and you become a target and subject of a masonic vendetta. This often involves Police and harassment, or worse.
The outfit purports to be a charitable body, doing good deeds. The reality is that they seek to benefit themselves and their "Brothers" to the detriment of everyone else.
One Member of Parliament told me that in her experience as a councillor for a city in England, " The masons always tried to get control of the Planning Committee".
Another local authority always gave contracts to masons in the Lodge. These were supposed to be put out to tender but the Brothers got them irrespective of this process.
Then there is the child abuse that has occurred for decades in the UK. Children in care homes who were subjected to the most horrendous ordeals. The latest cases to surface are in Jersey. They all have one thing in common, Freemasons being involved in the abuse and then enabling it to be covered up subsequently. Look at North Wales and the children in care homes who were abused and more. Most of the perpetrators were Police officers and masons with it.
As a civil servant, I witnessed Masonic corruption on a massive scale in the department I worked for. Masons who intervened should one of their Brothers be in trouble, result, they got away with it.
Freemasons are sick, corrupt, evil perverts. Freemasonry should be proscribed ideally. Otherwise, it should be made to be brought into the public domain, lists of Lodge members should be published as a minimum. Anyone in public office should have to declare membership.

GC100

In the United Kingdom a group of general counsel, called the GC100, was officially launched on 9 March 2005 and brings together the senior legal officers of more than eighty five FTSE 100 companies. The GC100 group was created in response to the increasing volume and complexity of domestic and international law and regulation which impacts on UK listed companies. The group was formed with the support of Practical Law Company which acts as its secretariat.
The main objectives of the GC100 are to:
* Provide a forum for practical and business focused input on key areas of legislative and policy reform common to UK listed companies.
* Enable members to share best practice in relation to law, risk management, compliance and other areas of common interest.
Membership of the GC100 is by invitation only. At the AGM on the 16 January 2007 members voted in favour of extending membership to company secretaries as well as general counsel in the FTSE 100. The formal name of the GC100 is now "The Association of General Counsel and Company Secretaries of the FTSE100", although it will continue to be known as the GC100.
Mark Harding, the first chair of the GC100 has stated that the GC100 is not a campaigning body, although they work closely with the FD100 (a similar grouping of blue chip finance directors).

Rumour has it that the reason the film was kept very quiet and shown only once discretely, is that Harry Palmer was responsible for the development of Poundbury, the model village built on green belt land by Prince Charles. There were serious objections to the planning permission for this as it was on green belt land and a large scale development. All allowed, no surprise when you see this film.
Oh and Charles in also a Freemason in case you think there is no whiff of corruption.
