FIGHT AGAINST FUR REACHES NEW HEIGHTS (Norway)
FIGHT AGAINST FUR REACHES NEW HEIGHTS (Norway)

anonymous report:

"Springtime is here, and images of lambs frolicking in the sunshine leap to mind. Unfortunately, for most lambs the reality is much harsher – confined to metal pens, with the slaughter man’s noose permanently weighing around their necks. Well not if the ALF have anything to do with it..

Ten lambs have been liberated from this death sentence and given loving new homes. They are now free to live out their natural lives away from abuse and repression.

ALF – respect life.."

COLORFUL SURPRISE FOR KFC (Mexico)

anonymous communique:

"April 27

Colorful surprise for KFC manager

A surprise was brought to the manager of a KFC in Mexico State. In the late hours of the night activists of the Frente de Liberación Animal watched this capitalist as he was registering the profits of the day and was amused by it. We employed our methods very quietly to present a big surprise to him when he left this establishment-- guilty of so many horrific deaths of our animal brothers.

The manager, on finishing his work was leaving the business and found the windows, doors, walls and advertisements of KFC totally stained with various colored permanent paint. These colors gave us joy as we saw the face of this ignorant fool, running everywhere to find the perpetrators who caused this economic sabotage and pleading with the police to stop us. But nothing doing for the FLA.

There is no excuse for inaction!

There are more than enough reasons to fight!

FLA"

530 HENS FIND FREEDOM (UK)

anonymous communique:

"During the night, activists broke into an intensive breeding unit in Hampshire. Inside this windowless prison they found hundreds of young birds living in squalor with no access to fresh air or sunlight.

The hens were destined for a lifetime of suffering in miserable egg farms where they would have been exploited until no longer profitable and slaughtered. However, in just over 2 hours volunteers had loaded 530 of the birds and took them to safety. As the morning light rose, for the first time in their lives they saw daybreak, sunshine and felt the earth beneath their feet.

Dedicated to all those who acted to free animals from their cages but ended up incarcerated themselves…

FRIDAY NIGHT FUN FOR NOVARTIS VIVISECTORS (UK)

reported anonymously:

"In solidarity with the World Day demonstration outside of Novartis' torture labs the following day, and to remind them that not all activists carry placards and bullhorns, two Novartis vivisectors were visited at home in Horsham on Friday night.

Steve Charlton of 7 Saint Christopher Close had glue put in his front door lock, and 'Animal Abuser at No. 7' was painted on a row of garages next to his house. We can't be sure they were his, but we'll leave it to him to explain that one to his neighbours.

At 5 Ryecroft Drive, Gerald Dubois had left a car out under an open window. Hardly a deterrent. Silent as the night that hid us, we stripped the paint, slashed all the tires and left our calling card in our own paint.

You never see us, and you can't stop us.

Animal Liberation Front"

>>

BUTCHER TARGETED (Portugal)

anonymous report:

"Recently in Portugal a butcher was targeted by activists. The wall was painted with the message '100% CRUELTY'.
We’ll come back soon!"

>>

FIGHT AGAINST FUR REACHES NEW HEIGHTS (Norway)

According to a story in Norway's Aftenposten newspaper, there have been more actions against the Norwegian fur industry in the six last months than ever before. 50 actions have been reported to the police, in addition to several minor actions.

Most of the actions have targeted fur shops in Oslo. All of the shops in the city have been hit-- many of them repeatedly. The most recent action was against the headquarters of the Norwegian fur farmers organization, where 20 windows were smashed, slogans painted and a car destroyed.

photo: In February, the home and car of Oslo furrier Stein PhillipThoresen was covered in paint, the windows were broken and the tires flattened.

PAINT, GLUE AND BROKEN GLASS AT FUR SHOPS, VIVISECTORS (Sweden)

reported by the Djurens Befrielsefronts Stödgrupp (Swedish Animal Liberation Front Supporters Group):

"February

March

22nd - Stockholm; A fur shop had their door bell smashed again. - DBF

30th - Lund; During the night of March 30 an AstraZeneca facility in Lund was attacked with rocks and paint bombs. Several windows were smashed and red paint spread inside their fancy entrance. This is just the beginning and we will continue our actions until AstraZeneca quit all contracts with Huntingdon Life Sciences. Djurens Befrielsefront, the Swedish ALF

30th - Stockholm; Kiwi Furs was sloganized.

30th - Stockholm; One of Stockholms oldest furriers was celebrating his birthday, so the DBF went to his home to congratulate. We hope he liked the colour and the size of the letters that we painted on his house. Now all his neighbours know what a sick and disgusting animal abuser lives there. We have already started to think what to give you next year you filthy scum!

April
6th - Sodertalje; During the night to the sixth of april AstraZeneca in Svdertdlje, Sweden was attacked by animal rights activists. Several windows in their entrance were smashed. The action was carried out on behalf of all the animals suffering inside HLS. As long as AstraZeneca makes business with HLS they will be a target. Things will get much worse. We're just getting started. - Djurens Befrielsefront

7th - Stockholm; A bucket of tar was poured over the furshop on Brahegatan. - DBF"

CIRCUS VEHICLES PAINTED RED (Mexico)

received anonymously:

"In spite of the security circuses have nowadays due to their fear of receiving a visit from the Frente de Liberación Animal, we will not stop since one of our principles is to fight all forms of slavery and exploitation done to our animal brothers and sisters.

That's why on April 24 transport vehicles from the 'Circovety Circus,' the center of animal torture, were stained with red paint and painted with pro-animal slogans-- thus demonstrating that whether or not you have security, ALF vigilantes will always find their target and attack it.

No to the abuse of animals!

Go Vegan!

FLA Mexico"

>>

CIRCUS SIGNS DESTROYED (Germany)

received anonymously:

"rhein-main area - germany

circus scum everywhere.
our 'welcome' for circus frankello on april 25 was the following:

- 21 signs were removed and destroyed
- 6 more were painted with the words 'animal torturers'

this action will cause economic damage to them as they need new signs
and fewer people will go to their shows. plus our words help to raise
public awareness that circus means cruelty to animals.

HUNT SCUM RECEIVES ALF TREATMENT (UK)

reported anonymously:

"Yet another hunt scum has received the ALF treatment in Humberside,
this time the target was a dark blue Volvo estate displaying one of
those ridiculous countryside alliance stickers.

The car was a piece of trash before we even got started, missing
lights and the front reg plate, covered in dents etc. It's a wonder
it's even safe to drive.

Thought we'd add to the damage already incurred by adding a few extra
dents and scratches, also let the tires down and superglued the
valves shut.

Have a nice day, courtesy of the ALF"

>>

FUR SHOP PAINTED (Austria)

According to the media, a fur shop in Vienna was targeted
with red paint.

>>

FUR SHOP LOCKS GLUED (Spain)

actions in Madrid, reported by activists in Spain:

"The locks of two fur shops were ruined during two consecutive weekends. One of them had just changed the locks due to previous attacks."

Somebody should do it whoever is part of the list stuff...world week for lab animals has been quite a kick this year ! lots of direct action and quite a few reports from the novartis/shac march.

write for the front page? ... yeah

30.04.2008 12:41

Veganx says:

"Write for front page? Somebody should do it whoever is part of the list stuff...."

Well maybe you should do it if you think this stuff deserves a feature in the middle column. This is how IMC-UK works. There are no professional editors or journalists here. This is DIY media, so if you think something should be highlighted in the middle column, just put it together, write the piece, include the links you want, the photo you want, and then propose it to the list. That's how stuff gets done in planet Indymedia.

It is like direct action you see? .. don't expect that anyone else will do it for you.
