After many happy years, the Tuesday night meetings at The Downview in
West Worthing have come to an end (the new management decided to charge
for the room...)
However, there is no need to despair. Worthing eco-action and others
have got together to set up a revitalised kind of meeting at a different
venue.
The Worthing Alliance will be a new forum for all groups working for the
interests of Worthing's people, for their freedom, and for their
environmental or cultural heritage.
We will be inviting as many appropriate groups as possible to get
involved each month. The format will involve an announcements section
where groups can inform others of their activities, a discussion section
and then a general socialising and networking part of the evening.
The first meeting will be at 8pm on Thursday June 23, upstairs at The
Rest, Bath Place, Worthing (opp the side entrance to Woolworth's in
Montague St).
