Skills

10.05.2005 10:44

The workshops will cover a number of key skills you will need at the G8 demo including:

How to stay focused when stuck within a metal barrier compound miles from the real event and being laughed at by Police on overtime.

Creating paper mache heads of Bush, Blair etc as these are proven devices for bringing down dictators.

Arm exercises to build up strength for the holding of a SWP poster on a stick handed to you by someone you don't know but who now seems to be in charge.

How to create cheap ear plugs to block out the sound of yet another bloody samba band or twat with a whistle.

Tips on where to purchase a South American knitted hat with floppy ear pieces as without one there is a danger of you looking normal

A map detailing a local McDonalds or Burger King when you get sick of all the home produced vegan food.

A songsheet comprising all the classics - "We will overcome", "Give peace a chance" "I am a women" etc. Don't worry if you lose the sheet most police know the songs by heart having been hearing them for years.

Some pink die to allow you to change the colour of a T shirt - Nobody knows why we do this but it's a tradition now so we don't like to question the whole thing.

Finaly and most important of all

A bustsheet - listing the name and number of Daddy's lawyer in London

So what kind of person posts this kind of negative comment about a very positive-sounding event?

Perhaps the following line gives us a clue: "Don't worry if you lose the sheet most police know the songs by heart having been hearing them for years."

robin hood

Funny

10.05.2005 19:02

I suppose what makes it really funny is that "people" is right. That is what these workshops and meetings are like.

So Robin Hood piss taking on IM is the work of the police is it ?

It may be hard for you to accept but the Police / MI5 / Mossad do not read Indymedia. Like most trolling here it was just someone having a laugh at our expense. In fact what he wrote was a bit funny - chill out.

Not the police

how do you know?

12.05.2005 17:14

"the Police / MI5 / Mossad do not read Indymedia"

Don't want to be rude, but how do you know?

Please share the source of your Knowledge with us, o Wise and Chilled One.

In the SHAC injunction cases, and SNGP injunction cases the police provided evidence from indymedia.

Why did the FBI/MI5 take part in removing the indymedia server then? To have it as a nice ornament?
