Not the first time

26.03.2005 20:09

Actually it is not the first time that these injunctions have fallen on activists outside animal rights. About a year ago Bayer AG got a very similar injunction applied widely to anyone involved in anti-GM campaigning. These injunctions are all very similarly worded and based on the injunctions used by HLS. Infact you will almost certainly find that the legal firm behind the EDO injunctions are the same scum that worked for HLS and Bayer. These wide reaching injunctions must be challenged as they bypass the normal criminal legal system to make acts which would normally be lawful into criminal acts. The legal firm that is going out and actively seeking companies that might wish to take these injunctions needs to be targetted themselves. We are rapidly being squeezed, lossing legal options. At this rate the only campaigning options left to us will be covert criminal acts of sabotage.

Attack on protest

26.03.2005 20:38

That's a very full on list. I mean who do they think they are banning the use of "musical instruments"!

And saying 'protests about this issue can only take place on a thursday between 3.30pm and 6pm at this specified place (er... a small grass verge) - and that no more than ten people can attend any such demonstration... Oh and no 'protest camps' within a 3 mile radius!!

Bloody hell! I mean seriously, what's going on in this country???

I'm starting to think this country stinks!

this country already has the laws to stop demonstrations

27.03.2005 17:33

There is already an injuction against demonstrators at the Newchurch Guinea Pig farm. The injunction says they can only demonstrate on a Sunday for 4 hours and only 20 people. And of course no protest camps. So people should not be surprised if judges pass more injunctions against other protests. lawson-cruttenden was the person who worded the Harassment law which was supposed to stop stalkers. But if you read the book he wrote on the subject (he thinks he's my mate because he sent me a free copy - after I printed an article which slagged him off in the mag I produce Arcnews), he talks about using the act to stop hunt sabs, so he had every intention of using the act against political protesters but the MP's who passed the law either missed this part by accident or on purpose - whatever it is now law and the authorities can use the act to stop us protesting.

Add other laws (including the new one coming up) and if they want we can be stopped from campaigning never mind protesting. You can be stopped from giving out a leaflet twice against a vivisection company. How many of us think it will stay as just against vivisection companies - how about the police using it to stop anyone handing out leaflets outside a McDonalds? Or even outside your MP's surgery.

Protesters against other campaigns other than animal rights should look at how we have been treated to see how the authorities will come down on you. We are the test subjects and they will use the same tactics to stop all other campaigners. So watch out you are in for a bumpy ride and one that could cost you a lot of money. Learn to hide your finances before Cruttenden goes to court to freeze your money - like he has already done to one of our groups, but he doesn't win all his cases. He is not that good a solicitor, check out how we have faught back and see how you can sometimes send him running with his tail between his legs. Oh and by the way he reads all the comments about him and gets upset if you criticise him. Poor lad he must be quite stressed these days. Hi Tim hope you enjoyed my comments about you.
