It is important to put pressure on our government so that real progress can be made during this year. The national MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY campaign (www.makepovertyhistory.org) has three main demands:
Trade Justice;
Drop the Debt;
and More and Better Aid.
This Discussion Day will be concentrating on the first demand, looking at the injustice of present trade structures , and ways in which they could be made more just. We shall also be looking at practical ways of building the local campaign.
