Abolish the Armed Forces

All nationalist armies should be disbanded. There is too much warmongering going on.

The only people that benefit are the weapons manufacturers and arms dealers at the British taxpayer's expence.

Switzerland has remained neutral through both world wars and done very well for themselves. The Swiss have a very good quality of life without the massive expense of maintaining armed forces and being tangled up in wars around the world like the Brits and Americans.

The Swiss defend themselves by having a peoples militia composed of all able bodied men over the age of 18, I think it is, being given military training and keeping automatic weapons at home. That is, nearly every household in Switzerland has high quality weapons on site.

Incidentally, the Swiss also have the lowest gun and crime deaths in europe. Criminals tend to leave them alone.

Fascist don't like an armed population. One of the first things that Hitler did when he took power in Germany was ban private gun ownership. Read your history.

They have about 4,000 professional soldiers and about 130,000 conscripts and volunteers at any one time.

Military service is compulsory for men but not for women. They also have to keep their personal weapons at home.

you are asking the state; the monopoly on legal violence to (partly) disarm. That's an laudable aim. But one step further would be to just abolish tax, then their can be no government, no army, no state violence, on political corruption, no slavery, no landlords, just people interacting, and traiding voluntarily amongst each other and dealing with their own problems in their own way as and when they arise. But no one can bare to throw that golden ring of power into the fires of Mordor.
