We would like to have thousands of union members, faith groups, students , LGBT and disability groups - all our communities on the march to celebrate multiculturalism, and oppose racism , fascism and the BNP politics of hate .
The demonstration is supported by national unions including, the PCS, FBU, Unite, UCU, NUT and NASUWT. The FBU and PCS both passed motions backing the mobilisation at their national conferences and are urging their members to go on the demonstration.
Oxfordshire UNISON Health Branch has taken the initiative of booking a coach for the protest on 21st June with a view to other unions supporting the coach by block booking seats and encouraging their members, family and friends to come. The CWU has already block booked seats and has made a donation.
The coach will be leaving Oxford at 9.30 p.m. Pick up points will be notified once seats are booked. Coach seats cost £10 waged/ £5 unwaged & students.
Seats can be booked online c/o the Oxford Love Music Hate Racism website at http://web.bethere.co.uk/LMHROxford/ or by emailing LMHROxford@bethere.co.uk or ringing 07790532513. All money from seat bookings will go to Oxfordshire UNISON Health branch to offset the £500 outlay for the first coach.
Oxfordshire Unite Against Fascism and Love Music Hate racism supporters will also be visiting Henley after the national march to leaflet local estates against the BNP.
