12.30pm, Monday 13 February, The Okinaga Room, Wadham College, Parks Road
All welcome
A joint meeting hosted by Oxford No Sweat and Oxford University Labour Club, part of a nation wide tour being put on by No Sweat and the Argentina Solidarity Campaign.
Come and hear Jose Julian Pununuri from the worker-occupied Zanon tile factory in Neuquen, Argentina speak about his experiences being a part of Argentina's 'recovered factories' movement, in which all decisions are taken by majority vote in mass meetings - where workers have saved their factory from closure, raised wages for workers and invested in a local education system. Can workers' control pose an alternative to capitalism?
At 8pm that evening there will be an exclusive showing of Naomi Klein's new film 'The Take' - not yet released in the cinemas - at University College (on the High st), Goodheart Seminar Room.
NB the Zanon meeting has previously been advertised as being on 12 rather than 13 February due to a typing error. The meeting is on Monday 13 February.
