It's front page news and front line stuff - climate change is here to
stay.
But who's responsible, what can we do about it, and how?
Home grown campaigners Rising Tide and Corporate Watch have organised a benefit gig to raise awareness, offer suggestions and fund work on climate change, corporations and social justice.
The Tide is Rising gig will feature the finest performers from Oxford and
beyond. It's at:
Northgate Hall, St Michael's Street, Oxford on Tuesday 16th
March at 8pm (doors open at 7:30pm).
>
> The evening will feature:
> Frabjous Day - Oxford based female vocal harmony group
> Kate Fletcher - the Nightingale of the Oxford Canal - sings sweet,
> soulful songs
> Fred Bjorkevall - guitar and songs from an international trio
> John Hoggett - queer, hippy, eco-poet and humourist
> Timothy Crich - blunt ironic poems from Oxford lad about town
> Haidee Harrison - sweet, funny and sharp poetry
> Claire Fawcett - People and Planet's radical supergirly poetess
>
> Plus slapstick performance on climate injustice! And buckets of information
> on the door.

Real reasons
12.03.2004 12:17
Over 1000 scientists agreed that there is a significant human interference that has altered the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere as a result of burning fossil fuels. More and more reports are produced to confirm that human induced climate change is happening. It is the arrogance of people like you that stop any possible solutions being put into practice!
