BLACKBIRD LEYS RESIDENTS and IWCA activists conducted a patrol of Gillians Park last month as part of efforts to monitor the area for any signs of renewed activity by the teenage gang responsible for muggings and attacks around the park in the autumn.
Patrol organiser, Cllr Stuart Craft said, ‘This should serve as a warning to gang members that if they decide to return to the park and commit antisocial and criminal acts they will be found out. The IWCA will be making further unscheduled visits to the park as long as residents remain concerned about the situation.’
