The Oxford meeting about DSEI was packed - some lovely ironical films and sketches as well as the CAAT speaker. He explained that this Labour government have not only privatised the arms fair but opened it to the thousand and more international companies who will be there to sell their wares to many poor countries. and many with appalling human rights records. And the UK tax payer has already subsidised this year's fair to the tune of £400,000.
