From the 6th to the 12th of September ExCel in London will host DSEi, Europe's largest gathering of arms dealers.
They will be selling weapons of mass destruction and instruments of torture to brutal dictatorships, and repressive regimes from
Washington to Tel Aviv.
Companies that will be taking part in the uk government sponsored
"supermarket of death" include BAE Systems
- who sold jet planes to Indonesia which were used in their occupation of East Timor, and Boeing - manufacturers of the B-52s which flew from Fairford
to bomb the people of Iraq during the recent illegal war.
Activists from Oxford will be joining protestors from across the world in London to oppose the event. More information on planned actions and events is available from

Here's a summary:-
6th Sept - Mass demonstration, begins at Embankment.
7th & 8th Sept - Conference against the arms fair, with workshops run by supporting groups and other activists working against DSEi 2003.
8th Sept - Multi-faith silent vigil.
9th Sept - 'Facing the Arms Traders', peaceful demonstration at Custom House DLR station.
10th Sept - 'Day of Direct Action Blockades'.
11th Sept - Demonstration at DSEi delegates gala dinner, central London.
6th - 12th Sept- Other protests and events at the arms fair, and at other sites.
Don't think there's any coaches organized from Oxford.
I believe that there's gonna be a meeting with a speaker from disarm dsei in oxford in the next couple of weeks, which might be a chance to network and get stuff organized.
