Cashe are a children's designer clothes shop who have been selling real fur trims on their clothing.
Cashe told Campaign for a Fur Free Nottingham that they would not be selling real fur on their shop floor again and would only sell items of real fur online or if people enter the shop to specifically ask for it, which is still unacceptable to the group.
However Cashe have had fur on their shop floor on several occasions, most recently two weeks ago and only removing it during demonstrations.
Cashe have been telling members of the public that they have only ever had one item of real fur that was sent to them by mistake - the shop in fact had several items of real fur that were clearly labeled as rabbit fur.
Cashe have now changed over to their spring collection which does not include any real fur, but the group are continuing the demonstrations with the shop until they adopt a fur free policy. With the way Cashe have acted on this subject, it seems that it is obvious that the shop will continue to sell real fur again next season.
The demonstration went well with a lot of support from the general public who were horrified to hear about the policy Cashe have regarding real fur.
Student journalists were present and also a photographer from the Evening Post.
Demonstrations outside Cashe will continue until they change their policy regarding the sale of real fur.
The next demonstration will be Friday 26th February.
