Sunday 17th - Brinsley Animal Rescue Workday
Brinsley Animal Rescue is a not for profit sanctuary dedicated to
caring for animals. Our primary mission is to relieve the suffering of
animals and birds. Many of the animals that come to us are simply
’surplus to requirements’ from the meat, dairy and egg industry.
Because such animals are deemed unprofitable then it is our aim to
take them on and find them loving homes in which they can enjoy the
retirement they deserve.
Nottm AR has regular work days here - fence building, staining, aviary
building, mucking out, rabbit run building and the usual shit!
Transport from Sumac at 1pm.

from the north will descend upon B&K Universal in Grimston and rally
against the blood and MURDER they cause as suppliers of HLS & Sequani

At some time we may again protest against the use of animals in cruel
and unscientific experiments at Nottingham University's Medical
School.
Is anyone able to provide more recent information, following this from
Animal Aid's 2006 Mad Science Award
University of Nottingham where rats' screams of pain were recorded
In a collaborative behaviour study with the University of Ireland,
male rats were injected with formalin - a toxic chemical that causes
considerable and lasting pain. They were then put inside a perspex
chamber that administered repeated electric shocks to their feet. A
microphone was placed above the chamber to record the rats' cries of
pain, communicated in ultrasound.
