Given that this project does not seem to have made a significant difference to the area in the 10 years it's been operating, I've checked out the current trustees for the company (via the NDC website), to see just who is going to be deciding how the money is spent over the coming 12 months.
It reveals that the group of 7 trustees includes a current Nottingham City Councillor, 2 ex-City Council employees and a woman who works for one of the country's biggest gambling organisations (Gala Coral). The sole representative of the area's ethnic minority population looks worryingly like a token appointment (in an area with with one of the highest ethnic minority ratios in the city) and the MD of a housing association and an urban planner would seem to confirm that the focus of NDC is now on the development of property rather than addressing some of the more pressing needs of local people.
Who, I wonder, and by what process were these people chosen/elected to lead this important programme?
