Despite the freezing temperatures and the icy winds and occasional snow flurries, folks enjoyed the Chinese New Year celebrations at Lakeside Arts Centre on Sunday 1st February
The University of Nottingham, Lakeside Arts Centre, local Councils worked together for the fifth year to celebrate the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival.
As the culmination of a series of performances, workshops, and residencies, the celebrations held at Highfields Park at the University of Nottingham welcomed in the Year of the Ox with style, with over 2000 people braving the cold to attend the long anticipated later afternoon of events.
Unfortuanatly, about 3/4 of the way through it, my phone rang saying that police were eviction the 'Gaza Occupation, just accross the field at the University of Nottingham. So, had to drop everything and run :-( But hope you agree, managed to get some nice work done, before I had to revert to some 'news photography again' .......
