Culminating in a Play Parade -Thursday 19th feb, meet 12pm, Independant Street Park parading to Radford Primary School.
These events are aimed at increasing community involvement in advocating children’s play in Nottingham through promoting the need for greater access to appropriate, freely chosen and self directed play opportunities.

This means that many children now lack the time, space and encouragements at home and school to create their own ‘child-powered’ fun. The Play Parade is a chance for children and families to speak out about access to safe places to play and children’s right to this.
In preparation there will be:
Creative workshops 11-3, Radford Primary School.
Tuesday 17th – Scrap instrument making/costumes/masks/sculpture
Wednesday 18th – Banner making/costumes/masks/sculpture

Play parade – ‘Rally for the right to play’
Thursday 19th February
Meet: 12pm Independent Street Park and parade to Radford Primary School.
Dressing up, face painting and making noise about children’s right to play out safely!
Followed by:
Play day 1-3:30, Radford Primary School.
Games and Sports, art and craft, drumming, dance, circus skills, drama and more….
Ideas for play at home or out and about for parents
Information and ideas around volunteering in play and support with this will be available for parents.
Refreshments provided.
