It was again opposed by the police who held up screen shots from the BNP website the day after the first application was opposed.
The screen shots declared the BNP's intention to sell alcohol anyway and the police stated that they had taken this to mean that the British National Party were declaring their intention to deliberately break the law!
Unusually for a licence hearing, this time the decision was reached by the licencing panel and delivered on the same day, within an hour & a half in fact, with a resounding 'NO CHANCE' being sent the BNP's way.
The police are still, apparently extremley concerned about 'extremist activity' on the weekend of the 15th - 17th of August. Aren't we all!
Our people in the know also inform us that Alan Warner, (absent at the licence hearing as he has been declared in some BNP circles as a public relations disaster) ruddy-nosed, suspected drug dealer and owner of the land the RWB is due to be held on, has run crying to the cops who are now taking his personal security so seriously that he has a panic button installed along with what he calls 'covert surveillance' around the bungalow.
Keep an eye on the latest BNP's SCUMFEST news

The Police Know that the BNP need to cause trouble
26.07.2008 12:36
The police and the BNP would be in each others' company. The police have already opposed a licence on the basis that the BNP intended to flaunt the licencing laws. With no Antifa around to come between officers and lawbreakers, turning up or not turning up is a winning situation for Antifa. Because it places no obstacle between the law and the lawbreakers.
The police know they are in the presence of people who have declared they will break the licencsing laws. So their dutiful role is to pursue those lawbreakers to the extent of the law.
There has been boistrous high spirits on the behalf of Antifa making all sorts of outrageous and speculative jibes - that no sensible Antifascist would carry out in the presence of such a large body of police officers. That would be wrong and criminal and promoting the breakdown of society. Exactly what Antifascism is against. What antifascist can do is proclaim loudly that it is shameful to be a member of a racist party and to promote lawbreaking to further that racist party and to associate with known criminals.
So the Extremists in question are both identified as elements within the BNP and their destination is known. If they gather in large enough numbers then it is the duty of the police to be concerned.
To distract form their own antisocial and criminal intentions the BNP need the largest possible gathering of Antifascists. But that distraction is not in their control. Think about it,
thousands of people gathered to voice disapproval. The only response that fascists have to that is violence. And the police know it. The police know that the BNP would rather utilised agent provocateurs to stir up trouble. To give a tangible offence that distracts from their own disgusting, persistent and objectionable lawbreaking.
Antifa win the argument if the turn up or do not turn up. If they turn up they can do so in such huge numbers that no amount of Forward Intelligence or Forward Action would give results - the only way the police could justify a presence would be to turn the cameras on the right. If they do not turn up at all, well thats a lot of officers standing around looking at the BNP all day. Why waste the day doing nothing when you can improve your clear up rate - by nicking a few right wing thugs?
Antifa keeping up the pressure now and insisting they will turn up is doing more damage to the BNP than the Collet troll can bear to admit. When it comes down to facts, the Antifa demonstration had already started before the first licence was applied for. And will continue until there is an end to such evil.
All that is really needed is for some kind soul in the BNP to print the Scumfest ticket list then the Officers of the Law could vet the extremists at first hand. Because they know the BNP needs to cause trouble - othewise the strategy of tension that the BNP promotes and the Police require begins to fail.
