Monks in asia are also known for leading rebellions like the shaolin monks etc who led the boxer rebellion & wandered around trying to deal justice outside of the state, but who have since been repressed by most central governments

I have space for 4 people which may go very soon, cost about £6 each hopefully including parking as there is a all day park up near Ramparts social centre. I will be leaving from sherwood, nottingham about 7am & can pick people up nearby if their nice, plis car is insured for any1 2 drive just incase.
I may have to go to west end central polite station to be charged, althou my solicitor reckons they may drop it & Iam in line for 8hrs at £500 definetely, maybe hopefully from DSEI arms fair. Someone else has had his charges dropped & was held for 36hours thats about 10grand potentially as thery drop the amount paid per hr after a certain period. They only spent £4mill policing the arms fair!
I maybe able to stay in london in london & can help arrange accomadation for people at Ramparts, after demo I will have to pop about 20 miles out of london, will only about an hr, so people can see the sites & I can pickem up,

Can anyone please explain how a buddist led insurrection could have defeat a brutal military dictatorship?
Those monks should take a close look at how the Iraqis do things. Imagine what they could have achieved with their (the monks and their supporters) numbers and without the millstone of pacifism hanging round their necks?

?have you ever met a shaolin monk?

Protest in Burma
07.10.2007 17:35
Lefties in Britain love losers. They pour out indignation when oppressed people are brutalised by repressive regimes, e.g. Israel and the Palestinians. Yet when the oppressed fight back effectively by using armed struggle, e.g. Iraq, Afghanistan, Nepal, etc., they are even more outraged. The poison of pacifism - "non-violent direct action" - must be exposed.
As for Bush and Brown on Burma, their problem is that their own imperialists have not got a slice of Burmese oil and gas, unlike the Chinese imperialists. If American and US imperialism were in Burma - as they are in Saudi Arabia - then we would here no pious homilies about civil rights.
