Work is continuing at EcoWorks with the Straw Bale building. Walls are mostly enclosing the larger part of building. Window-frames fitted. Now in the process of building up the walls on the end section - 'soon to be' kitchen area.
There has been a bit of a delay since the last 'work-day' there. But during this time, it was necessary the replace some of the bales because of water damage. Well really, there has been a lot of water lately!
Next stage will be to fit the last of the window frames. Then finishing off by fixing the roofplate (timber structure that fits on top of the walls and on which the roof joists rest). The whole issue then being lashed & tensioned.
Ecoworks is on the Hungerhills allotment site, reached off Ransom Road, St.Anns
