The Reverend Jesse Jackson has come to Nottingham as part of 'The Economics of Colour' tour to help launch the 'Equanomics Campaign' - the visit aims is to help achieve racial justice through economic equality.
He was an American Presidential Candidate [failed obviously] for the Democratic Party and general civil rights activist.
He has begun a tour of cities across the country to present a radical move to tackle the economic inequalities faced by Britain's ethnic minorities.
The group organising said they'll soon have 200,000 members - and companies which don't achieve more equality at a senior level could even face a boycott.
After this event at the Council House, he went on to address a meeting of 600 people at the Pilgrim Church, Queen's Walk, in the Meadows
Other places he's visiting are:
Bristol
London
Birmingham
Leicester
Nottingham
Liverpool
Manchester
Sheffield
Bradford
