The turbine is the tried and tested Hugh Piggott design which features in his book "How to Build a Wind Turbine". It has a wooden bladed rotor of 2.4 m diameter (see also www.scoraigwind.com ) and generates about 700 - 800 Watts in a 25 mph wind. The course is hands-on, so those who come will get experience carving blades, hand winding copper coils, working with magnets, setting resins and welding. This is an introductory course for anyone who is thinking of building their own turbine as well as some hands on fun for anyone who is interested in wind.

Ive heards laws have changed, but some councils are still being idiots over it. Which council was this?,maybe we can all help kick them up the arse & stop just paying lip service.

I am want to go on course when I can, if people are on dole & want to get trained can they try & get new deal etc to pay for the course, rather than some menial, boring corporate job.
