Drop by at the ASBO Community Space, 35 Burns Street, Arboretum to get more information and have a chat with people supporting this campaign.
There will be a report back from the recent Staffordshire Blockade (16th-19th Dec). Come along during the afternoon for a practical session of banner and prop making (and preparations for ASBO's solstice party on the 22nd).
Nottingham will be playing it's part in the Faslane blockade on Saturday March 31st & Sunday April 1st 2007. There is plenty of work to be done before that - particularly in terms of planning the action and raising funds for publicity and the blockade itself.
A nottinghamfaslane365 group has recently formed and if you are interested in playing a part, please come along to a meeting, held every couple of weeks, or email.
Nottingham Faslane 365 is a loose association of individuals committed to providing 100 people to peacefully blockade Faslane, and to support this pledge by co-ordinating all aspects of a Nottingham blockade, including transport, legal support, non-violent direct action training, fundraising, accommodation, catering....
This is your chance to be involved in a unique action which will have a direct impact on the business of building nuclear weapons. Support is also welcomed from people unable to travel to Scotland and those unable to face arrest.

It's also worth having a good read of the Faslane 365 website, which includes a very good resources pack: http://www.faslane365.org/
Faslane 365 has two purposes - firstly, to bring people to witness and impede the nuclear base where Britain's nuclear weapons are deployed, and enable them to demonstrate the range of serious concerns - from human rights to climate change - that people in the real world consider to be the vital challenges for the 21st century.
At a time when Tony Blair has put on the political agenda the prospect of spending between £40 and £76 billion more to keep nuclear weapons in Scotland until at least the year 2055, Faslane 365 will draw attention to the dangerous insecurity and waste of resources inherent in the Trident nuclear system, and will mobilise support forthese nuclear mistakes to be disarmed. In preventing nuclear 'business as usual' we also intend to highlight our real, human security needs, which will require a very different allocation of resources and action.
