This is YOUR opportunity to put your questions to NAIL, the Environment Agency and the City Council.
Waste Recycling Group burns 150,000 tonnes of the City’s waste a year instead of recycling it. WRG now propose to import an additional 100,000 tonnes of waste from Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire to further pollute our air.
Eastcroft is already the most polluting incinerator in the UK, it has had 31 pollution breaches in the past 4 years and received over third of all of the warning notices issued by the Environment Agency in the last year.
This open debate will be like Question Time where you will be able to express views, concerns and raise questions with the panel. The debate will be recorded and broadcasted the following day at 11am.
The panel will be chaired by presenter John Holmes of Radio Nottingham consist of;
1. Jon Beresford - Nottingham Against Incineration and Landfill
2. Mike Senior - Planning Officer for Nottingham City council
3. Richard Digby-Taylor - City Council Pollution Control Team Leader
4. Steven Profit - The Environment Agency
