Next Climate Camp Gathering

Nottingham Climate Campers | 27.03.2006 10:46 | Ecology | Free Spaces

The next climate camp gathering is happening in Leeds in 2 weeks. It is an ideal opportunity to get involved in organising this exciting camp. Please email us if you are interested in going from Notts as we might be able to sort some transport.

Camp for Climate Action, August 26-September 4 www.climatecamp.org.uk

Climate change threatens all life on earth and it won't be tackled by greenwash and petitions. We need to take action and we need to do it now. Solutions need to come from the people and not the corporations or politicians.

The Camp for Climate Action is a self-organised camp which will challenge the causes of climate change through action, education and through living practical solutions.

The process of planning the camp is bringing together groups and individuals from across the UK who are passionate about taking direct action against the root causes of climate change, and who are determined to build sustainable alternatives to the economic system that's fuelling the crisis. If you want to be part of this unique and powerful project then come to the next gathering.

Next Planning Gathering will be in Leeds 8-9th April
Everyone is invited to come along and get involved.
10:30 for 11 start -6pm Saturday,
9:30 for 10 start - 5pm Sunday.
Please email to let us know you are coming  facilitation@climatecamp.org.uk
Address: The Commonplace, 23-25 Wharf Street, Leeds, LS2 7EQ

You only need to email us if you require accomodation (though it always helps to know if 8 of you are turning up, or something!), or have particular needs as detailed above.

There is an advanced facilitation skillshare on the Monday if you are interested, email us too. Details available from us and hopefully on website soon.
