LOCKHEED MARTIN
In the news: The RQ-170 Sentinel surveillance drone downed in Iran this week was made by Lockheed Martin.
Lockheed Martin is one of the world’s largest weapons manufacturers and military aircraft
manufacturers. Its profits and business success depend on endless war. Killing is big business.
Military aircraft manufactured by Lockheed Martin include F-16 fighter jets, as used by Israel to murder civilians in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead in 2009.
Lockheed Martin developed and manufactured Britain's Trident nuclear missiles and it has a £5.3
billion contract with the UK government to design and build new and illegal weapons of mass destruction at Aldermaston AWE, which it jointly owns.
Lockheed Martin developed the Aegis combat system which the US is pressurising South Korea to fit to destroyers at a planned naval base which will destroy the beautiful ecological reserve of Jeju Island, South Korea and escalate hostilities between the West and China.
Lockheed Martin also manufactures cluster bombs, responsible for the deaths of so many children,
sells arms to Bahrain and makes surveillance drones used by the UK in Afghanistan.
Lockheed Martin is implicated in interrogation and torture at Guantanamo where it provides interrogators under contract.
Lockheed Martin won a lucrative contract to process 2011 Census data in England and Wales. Many
people strongly object to its involvement in the Census.
Lockheed Martin Vice-President Lorraine Martin has said: "We want to know what's going on anytime, anyplace on the planet." Would you trust a company with such an ambition with your confidential data?
