Millions of pounds are spent targeting non-specific offenders to very little apparent effect. Identifying, naming and shaming specific offenders has been suggested as public policy by several Members of Parliament.
The attached video identifies, names and shames. The decision to prosecute, the DWP site informs us, depends on a number of factors, including: "was the fraud an abuse of trust?"

Name and shame the tax dodgers.

Could it be that the tax evaders are drawn from the middle and upper classes? Also, they tend to be "establishment" types and include many members of the aristocracy. The other group who specialise in tax fraud, tend to be Freemasons. They then get their "Brothers" in the HMRC to cover up for them.
I can suggest many names for tax dodgers, anyone want to put these on a website.
I used to work for HMRC so I know what I am talking about.

You could perhaps mention about the real benefit statistics incl. subsidies, the arts, PFI/PPP projects, pblic servants perks, the use of tax credits to prop up poor wages ( see Walmart jobs ) , fake training schemes and job brokers e.g. A4E, eurogrants for not-for-profit organistations ( inc green capitalist and dodgy liberal charities) You will see the real recipients are the bougoisie and the rich corporates as fucking usual..
What does not for profit mean when you pay youtr suits loads of dosh to 'help the poor' - it's to keep the capitlist western status quo. fat bastards....

It would be good to see the Tax targetting Tractor Smugglers. Tractor Smuggling costs the Revenue much more than Benefit Fraud. So it would actually save the Taxpayer much more than clawing back from people in poverty.
When people are prosecuted for Benefit Fraud it is, frequently, because they were advised to claim the wrong benefit. The DWP grab back a small amount of benefits on the basis of non-entitlement and pay out a larger amount with arrears because of incorrect assessment. The real fraud lies in failure to follow the implied duty of care and give best advice to claimants.
When Benefit Fraud prosecutions unambiguously succeed, it is most frequently for Housing Benefit. Housing Benefit is the one benefit that is directed towards private interests. It is usually landlords that inflate and misuse the housing benefit system.
Giving money out to any organisations - regardless of status as charity or business - simply means adding obstacles to claimant rights. Even the best intentioned charity is never going to have access to the information and facilities that the DWP have built up over the years. Private "trainers" are much more likely to understand the thirteen week, twenty six week, two year patterns as sources of revenue. Which inevitably means businesses will manipulate lives to maximise profit.
Have a look at the video. All of the material is existing Government supplied information. It is put together to target the real Benefit Fraudsters. Because laughing at those in authority is something the unemployed should do.

It would be great to see MPs locked up for fraud or theft like we would if we got caught doing small jobs while claiming dole or whatever.

Bring them to justice! The Mail helps to launch campaign to prosecute sleaze MPs
The Daily Mail today backs a move to bring to justice MPs whose flagrant abuse of expenses has shamed Britain.
We are joining forces with the Tax-Payers' Alliance to launch a campaign for the private prosecutions of backbenchers and ministers who have pocketed thousands of pounds through dishonest claims.
...
(The Tax-Payers' Alliance are right-wing pieces of shit though, they probably want all MPs to be independently wealthy landed gentry.)

The reason people don't claim benefits they are entitled to is because they don't want to be continually called liars by petty little officials, career numpties, that are promoted to positions of power in the DSS. The phrase 'absolute power corrupts absolutely' is simply wrong. The tiniest little bit of power corrupts absolutely.
