PC Steve Bettley, whose name was on the recently leaked membership of the British National Party, has been sacked. Serving police officers are not allowed to be members of the BNP, because it is said to conflict with their duty to represent people equally.
Steve Bettley claimed he was on the list because a family member had signed him up without informing him. But a Merseyside Police investigation found that he was knowingly a member of the BNP and gave the racist scumbag the boot.
Entire BNP membership list goes online

story from 2004:

ACPO bans police from joining BNP
"Under this policy, no member of the police service, whether police officer or police staff, may be a member of an organisation whose constitution, aims, objectives or pronouncements contradict the general duty to promote race equality. This specifically includes the British National Party."

At the moment, there is no automatic ban on political activists joining the force, but applicants must declare any political party membership prior to recruitment. In addition, officers are barred from taking an active role in politics or "any activity which is likely to interfere with the impartial discharge of his or her duties, or which is likely to give rise to the impression among members of the public that it may so interfere".

I say get ready Uk here comes your Saddam.
In Iraq we had a saying for those who supported Saddam, we called them turkeys who sang because the chickens were getting eaten.....
When you are not allowed to work because you support a un popular political party then the Uk is on the same path.

The filth have so much power over ordinary people that it is of vital importance that they don't have racist views.
I think having racist BNP cops would accelerate us towards totalitarianism.
The right for a normal person to be dealt with fairly by the police far outweighs the right of a cop to join a racist organisation.
