ON SATURDAY JUNE 7TH FROM 1-4 PM , MANCHESTER’S ALBERT SQUARE WILL BE THE VENUE FOR A FESTIVE CELEBRATION OF PALESTINIAN CULTURE,ART, HISTORY AND EXPERIENCE.
THERE WILL BE PALESTINIAN FOOD, MUSIC, DANCE, POETRY AND PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION. SPEAKERS WILL BRING MESSAGES OF HOPE, PEACE AND SOLIDARITY AND AMONGST THEM WILL BE BARONESS JENNY TONGUE, MUSHEIR AL FARRAR , AND KHALID, BOTH PEACE AND HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISTS AND FROM GAZA, LINDA RAMSDEN FROM ISRAELI COMMITTEE AGAINST HOUSE DEMOLITION UK, RICHARD KUPER FROM JEWS FOR JUSTICE FOR PALESTINIANS, AND LINDA CLAIR FROM PALESTINE SOLIDARITY.
THERE WILL BE A PARADE ROUND THE IMMEDIATE AREA OF THE SQUARE, THERE WILL BE LOTS OF STALLS.
THE FESTIVAL IS ORGANISED BY PALESTINE SOLIDARITY CAMPAIGN AND COMES AT A TIME WHEN THE SITUATION IN PALESTINE AND PARTICULARLY IN GAZA IS AT CRISIS POIINT. SAYS LINDA CLAIR, IN GOOD WEATHER AND IN HIGH SPIRITS WE WANT TO SHOW THE PALESTINIANS THAT WE APPLAUD THEM .
