Radical workers' struggle on Merseyside: still relevant or matter of the past? Reading and disscussion
From the late 60s through to the 80s Merseyside's industries were at the centre of some of the most radical industrial struggles ever seen in the UK. Wildcat strikes, flying pickets and ungovernable factories supported rent strikes and action in ungovernable communities. It was a time of intense struggle by ordinary people and one that the powerful would like us to forget.
Join us to hear some of those involved speak and discuss an important time in Merseyside's history.
