maybe even make it to the media. *
*we are hoping to fill the steps of the church with at least a hundred
people, please help us achieve this. YOU CAN DO IT*
*and please feel free to bring your own message of support or protest.*
*there will be protests all over the world that day, so:*
*let us demand sanctions and boycott of the occupiers*

Palestine. *
*let us send them a letter of hope*
*let us tell them that we care*
*our world can only be what we make it to be*
**

here the issue of building support which is inseperable from clarication on the issue of what is at stake.zionism or Israel versus the Palestinian state.
to discuss Israel objectively without emotion is important, but not easy
.what is it? and how do you get to know about it without being labelled a fascist for having criticical stance.
the whole history of the postwar arab national struggle, creation of israel in 1948, as a buffer state in the middle east of us imperialism, to use against soviet expansion and support for national self determination the consequent movement of occupation to counter the threats posed first by Nasser and the negotiations of arafat's PLO using the UN resolutions. the recent rise and support for Hamas.
the whole nugget of anti zionism versus anti semitism..
this is crucial for young people and the students at colleges and universities..where anti war sentiment is strong and resistance to war and threats to invade Iran will come.
the iron fist in the middle east as it was called of american imperialism.
taking the issue to a wider audience is intrinsic to building support..then the tactics of boycott, sanctions, industrial action, academic etc can be evaluated in relation to peoples involvement..
the anti apartheid movement faced a similar struggle until the movement built up moving from petitions protest at embassy pickets etc until industrial action and sanctions broke the back of the state..minority white settler state..Israel is the same ..another world is possible but also necessary..
