Tonight Sunday 14th August 2005 at approximately 10-15 pm another very serious incident took place. The empty housing association house next door was set on fire by arsonists. This empty house belongs to the housing association (also known as Registered Social Landlords) Community 7, which is a subsidiary of the massive Riverside Group. I have done much campaigning in the community against the behaviour of these 2 RSL’s.
Unlike the secretive cops the fireman told us how the fire was started. I told these fireman what had happened to me and they told me: This was not kids, this fire was deliberate arson in as much as the furniture that had been left in practically every room by the previous tenants in this three storey house had to some degree been stacked in the middle of each room and had been systematically set alight as the arsonist left the building from the back. One of the firemen told me that he could smell petrol in the hallway and that he thought petrol had been used to accelerate the initial combustion.
I believe that these two housing associations are making no real attempts to move me from this location because I am a housing activist.

I don't think your landlord is fulfilling their obligations towards you. I'm fortunate enough to have a brilliant landlord(again a RSL) who is understanding.
As long as you are paying your rent(or having it paid on your behalf) then they must hold their part of the bargain. If you are being subject to severe harrasment then they have a duty to protect you from it. It sounds like a case of the corporation being bigger than the people who make it. The Ombustman and Housing Corporation are there to make sure standards are upheld and deal with complaints, whether or not you are an activist should not make any difference.
