I just wanted to bring across the good news that St Helens is finally trying to "tackle" racism in its own unique way.
The St Helens Rugby Team has started the campaign " Show racism the red card" and I think that this is a good way to reach some disorientated youths in the area who support the rugby team.
Racism and violence is an everyday phenomenon in St Helens which can't be ignored any longer.
I also have got some foreign friends who became victimes of a racist attack in front of a lively night club.
It's simply not tolerable in any kind of way that people are being harrassed because of their different looks or language!!!
Alcohol is often involved as well, but what can you do to stop this excessive drinking culture? I think St Helens is the living proof that much needs to be done to improve the situation but finally measurements are being taken to solve the problem.
