As many of you will be aware, we are going through a massive period of
change at the moment. We have merged the former Leeds/Bradford and York IMC's into the Northern Indymedia collective, drafted the New IMC form that we will shortly be sending out to the global network, created a new collaboration space at https://we.riseup.net/imc-northern and are busy working behind the scenes on our shiny new website, which if things go to plan, we will switch over to from our current site in about a months time (fingers crossed!).
The latest change is a REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT one and affects everyone on this list. We have set up 2 new mailing lists,
imc-northern@lists.indymedia.org and the private imc-northern-contact@lists.indymedia.org (for confidential stuff) to replace the Leeds and York ones, and as such need a mass exodus over to http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/imc-northern , from where you can easily subscribe to the new mailing lists.
We know it's a bit of a pain in the arse to do, and that we may leave some people behind, but in roughly a month from now these lists will be shut down (though they will remain as an archive) and we will be using the new lists exclusively. Please please come over as soon as possible and help us build our hugely important new community resource from the wonderfully planted roots of Leeds/Bradford and York Indymedia. Even if it's just reading the postings and staying informed about what is going on, or better still getting stuck in to positive debate and discussion of where we should be headed, we need as many of you as possible to make it happen!
