One of the groups that attended came along from York, and amongst other things they're currently engaged in some great work for the campaign to end the sale of foie gras in England. http://www.yafa.co.uk
We were also pleased to have Leeds ABC along to have a stall, and next to them Keith Mann was around to sign copies of his new book and give a talk on it's interesting and meandering journey to being finally completed earlier this year. If you missed it information can be found at:

In the interests of being open that was the choice made. The current State repression against animal rights groups and animal sanctuaries (!) is totally unacceptable, we openly show solidarity with groups that face this repression.
Of course, some of the groups where money was donated are of little concern to the State. Anyone could have come along to the event and seen the stalls and who was being represented, also they would have got a pretty good idea of where the money was going!
The info for most of this got sent round on various promotional material. If the cops were interested at all, i doubt that £50 to SHAC would raise an eyebrow, maybe £5,000 but unfortunately we weren't that well supported, and i seriously doubt they would have got that much anyway.
