A proposal to establish October 22nd as a day of action against police brutality, repression, and the criminalisation of youth, trade unionists, migrants, protesters, football supporters, Brian Haw, Critical Mass, Hunt saboteurs, drinkers, smokers, hoodies, drug users etc.

Since the early 1990s & the Clinton Crime bill a generation has felt itself under attack by the law. Today 2.3 million Americans are behind bars, the highest level in history with no end in sight. More than under South African aparteid.
In Britain, there is approx 81K in ordinary prisons, with no end in sight, nearly 3 times higher than the early 1970s.
There has been International Prisoners justice day on August 10th for nearly 30 years now, and there has been a few events in the UK. However, is it time to join in with the October 22nd idea?
