A new Independent Media Centre (IMC) is to be launched at Space 109 (community centre), Walmgate, York, 19:30.
York IMC is open to all community campaigners, envirnomentalists, peace groups, and other progressive groups and campaigns. It is hoped that it will provide a networking opportunity for activists in the York area to come together and to strengthen and facilitate further action.
The launch event will include an introduction to the Indymedia network and to York Indymedia specifically, a discussion on the editorial policy and mission statement, and an opportunity to test the various aspects of the Indymedia site.
