There will be a march and noise demo against calderdale council selling off community buildings.
On sat 19th feb at 1pm. Meet at st georges square in hebden bridge west yorkshire.
There will then be a march around town which will stop at all the buildings the council has sold off and all the ones it is planning to sell off.
Bring things to make noise with.
It is to protest against the councils continuing sell off of council buildings.
The council has sold off around 40 community buildings and bits of land in the last six months. Another ten are up for auction next wednesday at manchester airport.
It is also to protest against the continuing gentrification of hebden bridge and the fact that people on low incomes are being forced out of the valley.
Come along and show your support.
Also after a very busy week the squatted pitt street social center has closed. But the campaign against council sell offs continues.
