Subverting workshop at Maelstrom.

A workshop on the art of changing corperate branding and advertising in the hopes to undermine it's corporate identity. We want to twist and pervert advertising to express perspectives and ideas other than the mainstream corperate messages that our audio and visual landscape is saturated with.
All skill levels welcome! We ourselves are far from experts but the workshop is hopefully just a platform to bring people interested in subvertising to start working together.

Bringing your own equiptment is not nessessary BUT resources are low and so would be greatly appreciated if you can bring any acetate, paint, craft knives, paper, card and more importantly idea's/printouts and stencils.

TIMES are never concrete but aim for getting there at 6pm for FOOD and when enough people arrive we'll start. If you're not free till later still pop round they'll still be stuff going on (touch wood).

With luck, not a single person has/will turn up to wherever it is/was. Only then will you realise that details matter.

while it would have been good to add the day of the event (i presume it was today) the city (Leeds, by the way) was not mentioned in the text because this article was published via the leeds/bradford indymedia site while the people complaining probably accesed it via the uk imc site. What caused the confusion here is that all articles published via regional sites (leeds bradford, oxford, manchester etc) ALSO appear on the national uk indymedia site. Peace! :-)

Subvertising will now be held BiWeekly instead in weekly due to a double booking with the Prisoner Writing workshop. So time table will be like this...
