Yorkshire are attempting to exploit local people's fears of crime and
poverty by distributing thousands of leaflets blaming asylum seekers
and ethnic minorites for social problems and urging people to vote for
the fascists. They are standing a number of candidates in Leeds and
due to the vote being based on proportional representation, they are
confident they can get the 8% needed to win.
To counter this Unity Against Racism and Fascism in Leeds have been
leafleting local areas every Sunday to urge people to get out and vote
against the BNP in the June elections.
This Sunday will be the first national day of mass leafleting and we
need as many people as possible out to get all the area covered.
If you're able to give up a couple of hours this Sunday to do this,
please meet at 1pm in the car park opposite the Grand Mosque, 9
Woodsley Road, LS6 1SN.
