Free Palestine Demo in Cambridge Market Square.

Another week another demo, this time a little smaller but nonetheless heartfelt by those who turned up to Cambridge Market Square last Saturday (09/08/2014).

Numbers down (due to national demo) but no less passionate about the cause.

Although due to the huge national demonstration happening at the same time in London (150,000 in attendance at current estimates), which sapped numbers a little for the local event, it turned out to be no less eventful.

There was one arrest, although not of any demonstrators, but of someone whom tried to cause trouble at the start by attempting to steal flags and banners from participants.

My own arrival was a little delayed, so I didn't capture this moment for posterity. If anyone else did, please post your pictures in the comments section after this article.

As I understand it the person in question was de-arrested later.

This incident aside, the overall atmosphere was (as ever) passionate but good natured.

There was a quick walkabout of town by the demonstrators (leading me to believe on my arrival that everyone had already left!), with everyone re-convening at The Market Square before finally dispersing a few minutes later.
