Urgent Appeal From Libya
Urgent Appeal From Libya

Dear All,

My name is Mohanned Magam, i'm from Libya. We are making this appeal because we are suffering great hardships because of the daily bombing of our cities and the blockade of Libya by NATO forces.

Too many civilians have already been killed, men women and children by NATO which is making our life harder with each passing day. So we are making this appeal to you to help us organise an event to raise public awareness about our suffering with a march around the world's capitals against the aggression on Libya and to defend our unique Direct People Democracy in Libya.

Please help us because we are dying day by day here. We ask to let as many people as possible to know about this event. We would really appreciate your kind help and God willing we can help to stop this war in Libya.

In Libya here we are marching each day, and this Friday will be another big one. We are not afraid to die and we are not afraid of the bombs. Everyone has to die one day. But it is not fair to have all our infrastructure and innocent people wounded and suffering because we will not give up on our democracy. .......... No mention of Gadaffi?

Find it unbelievable that has blamed all the deaths on NATO?

Sounds biased to me? Whats the back story here?

I guess ordinary people never set eyes on Gadaffi, but are feeling the intensity and devastation of aerial bombing every day. One nutter doesn't represent a popluation yet it seems they have to be collectively punished for his actions.

funny

is this the best that thier propoganda dept can think of, Nato is under daily scutiny and has openly admitted if bombs have gone astray and hit the locals.

Old Mo Ma's lot are getting back what they have been reaping, and I shed not one tear.

Everyone here seems to bleat about reigme change, well Mo Mas got it, his people dont want his dictatorship, his secret police or his psycopathic nonesence and want him gone so they can chose what to do.

So, and I will get suppressed for this, Go NATO, nice going, hussle could do with some work though.

It's all about the theft of the Libyan peoples resources

27.05.2011 09:39

What little public support there was for enforcing a no-fly zone has now completely evaporated.

It's clear that NATO has gone well beyond its mandate and that the military force is all about expropriating the gold, oil and state-owned central bank that was being used to benefit the people of Libya rather than the insatiable greed of Western banks and corporations.

indymedia is full of racist scum

27.05.2011 10:54

Just look at depths indymedia has fallen to...... people are actually heartedly calling for the most powerful and repressive militaries of this world to bomb a third world nation. either this is blatant pro-NATO trolling, or the more likely unfortunate truth - that the readership of indymedia and the british left in general is racist, bigoted, nato supporting scum. shame that.

The Libyan people wont be defeated by the 'rebels' who fly the union jack and the french tricolour, the Libyan people wont be beaten by these 'rebels' who beg for NATO bombs to fall on their country, the Libyan people wont be beaten by these 'rebels' who are itching to get the best jobs that the white man will allow them if he occupies ther country, the Libyan people wot be beaten by the most murderous regimes that have ever walked this earth.

The comments after this article are trolling.

Libya is the rotten garbage of US and British foreign policy and is endemic of the economic collapse now being experienced by the US and UK. At the beginning of the first decade of this century the US and UK embarked on a global policy of seizing oil and gas resources in order to consolidate their economic proclivities. In tandem with this 'policy' Britain and the US sold vast quantities of gold and silver to pay for the policy re-alignment and the military resources needed to execute the policy.

But due to political clumsiness and incoherent military planning, alongside severe resistance from the "combat theatre's" involved, the policy misfired and Britain and the US were left with a hugely expensive failed 'venture' and a sudden realisation of the potential damage that had been done.

Most governments around the world had seen this coming before time and in expectation of the impending US dollar collapse, and subsequent expected collapse of the British pound, have engaged in a race to secure gold and silver resources in order to protect against major currency fluctuations as the US dollar is dumped globally.

Libya has around $6 Billion in gold reserves which the IMF claim can be used by Gaddafi to fund a domestic insurgency against the expected deployment of ground troops by Britain and the US, in reality, this potential gold bourse can better be used to consolidate the US dollar paper currency in order to 'offset' the scale of the damage expected as US the dollar collapse's.

The operation in Libya is not about humanitarianism. The US and UK do not do humanitarianism. They have never done humanitarianism in the past, they are not doing humanitarianism now, they will not be do humanitarianism at any time in the future.

The US and UK will act only in their self interest. As they are Capitalist economies, their self interest is financial only.

The conflict in Libya will continue until those gold resources have been removed and when this is achieved, the IMF will be required to step in from the sidelines to provide un-returnable loans to the country in order to 'service' its social infrastructure post economic collapse.

The IMF and US/UK cartels are all working together to suck Libya dry for no other reason than to try to stave off a terminal halt to its collective influence on the world economic stage.

Who Gaddafi is and how he behaves toward the people of Libya is not relevant except to those who are tasked with "selling" this campaign to the massed domesticised "idiocracy" of the US and UK.
