Cambridge EDL break a Union Jack and Issue 'Threats'

Amusing footage emerges online of the small number of EDL supporters at last Monday's Anglian Regiment March.

Hand scribbled 'Cambridge Division' EDL flag!
Hand scribbled 'Cambridge Division' EDL flag!

Following last Monday's Anglian Regiment March in Cambridge video footage has emerged of the hapless antics of self-styled 'Cambridge Division' EDL (English Defence League) supporters attempting to harass anti-war campaigners.

It all starts when an English Defence League supporter begins filming the anti-war protesters while campaigners calmly hold their ground. The EDL supporters then break a Union Jack being waved by a protester leaving it lying on the floor, hardly very 'nationalist', eh lads?

I know the EDL guys are trying to throw off the 'fascist' and 'racist' image after all the Nazi saluting, racist chanting and attacking Asian areas, but isn't smashing a Union Jack going a bit far?

After this the self-described 'non-violent' 'peaceful protesters' of the EDL threaten an anti-war campaigner saying “I'll f**king break you”.

As usual the EDL's actions contradict their own statements and so-called beliefs - even if it was only the Cambridge 'hand scribbled flag' Division this time!

'Does it matter & isnt this britain' are the same person I'm guessing from the poor writing style? This is just noting, once again, the difference between what the EDL say and do.

I said 'Asian areas' not 'Muslim areas' and by that I mean areas that are predominately populated by people of an Asian background. By attack I mean smashing things up. Of course, everyone is free to go wherever they want in the UK but they are not free to commit racial attacks.

Thank you EDL for more hilarious postings!

It really pisses me off that this EDL wankers do whatever they want and even when there is only one of them left nobody gives him a slap. This is really bad feeling for people confronting them. If anti-war activities are getting hassled by those morons then organise stewards group that will calmly, but firmly show them that they can't throw their weight around.
By not reacting to their threats and violence you only encourage them to dish out more of that next time.

What sort of anti-war protest was this? ''Support our troops, bring them home'' or ''British Soldiers burn in hell'' cause if it was the latter I would of had of been threaten.

Banners read 'End the War, Bring them Home' it was not against the troops that were marching. This was not the type of protest people saw in Barking or elsewhere.

..."cause if it was the latter I would of had of been threaten."

Is this English? Doesn't sound like it. I should send the EDL round.
